Probably a whole world of leaders are now waiting for guidelines for how the United States will act in the critical environmental issues. Given how Donald Trump commented the global warming during the election campaign, there is a widespread perception that the United States will not live up to the promises from Paris. We need to clarify the legal basis on which Trump can break the promises that the United States agreed to follow.
